7:42 PM                       League Reports

Disciplinary Chairmen’s Report; Ralph Schutz

Ralph discussed the complaints received about refs not showing for games and subsequently the game being forfeited. December 7th will be make up game day for rainouts – there are two fields, Sycamore and Arbolado. If forfeited games due to ref absences caused frustration for teams, they can be made up on December 7 providing both teams agree amicably to this solution.

Ralph also presented the booking summary for the Freedom and Blackhawk teams. Looking solely at booking records, these teams do not stand out above the rest of the league. However, there seems to be some arrogance and attitudes that are unfavorable.

The general feeling is that these teams demonstrate some poor sportsmanship. It is understood that this league is for competitive play, and competitive play is fun, but when a team already has a very strong lead there is a tendency to argue corner kicks, etc.  Other teams in the league do not want to graduate to the ‘A’ division because of the excessive competition. It was brought up that the leadership should play a role in the control of the arrogance.

Should we invite all the team representatives to the next board meeting to discuss the various problems? Should we survey the players at the end of the season?

8:35 PM                       Members Concerns

Karl mentioned that Danville would like to go back to ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ divisions rather to reduce competition. Also, it was suggested that the 3 division be divided into 8, 10, 10 instead of 10, 10, 8.  It seems that some of these changes were made by Danville’s suggestions. Maybe Wes should attend a Danville meeting to determine what exactly Danville would like to see.
