7:41 PM                       Call to Order; Sabrina Ruehl

The approval of the minutes from August was postponed until the Secretary could find them.

7:42 PM                       League Reports

Disciplinary Chairmen’s Report; Ralph Schutz

A letter was sent out today to a Danville player due to exceeding 10 points. There have been no red cards yet this session. As of today, all games for every field with game assignment have referees scheduled to be there. Those games with TBA/TBDs have not yet been assigned.

There was one game where the referee was unaware he was scheduled for a particular field at a particular time (missed the attachment on the e-mail), therefore, a game was short a referee. The board agreed that there were special circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event, thus, agreed that if both teams affected by this were receptive to the idea of a rescheduled game it would be acceptable to do so.

Operations Report; Wes Motschmann

It was requested that the results on the website be updated on time and as soon as possible. City reps should email scores as quickly as possible to keep the site current.

Poor sportsmanship is an issue; particularly with some A division teams. Discussions followed to determine the best way to address and reduce or eliminate this problem. Ralph also mentioned he places referees strategically to match play with best qualified refs for that level of play.

Treasurer Report (Registrar, Pro Tem); Pam Blessington

Pam was absent.

                                    City Rep Reports

Danville, Karl Thomas

Ralph emphasized the importance of start times and that the 15 minute rule will be enforced. If each team has the minimum number of player required, the game will start.

Karl pointed out that home teams need to be responsible for corner flags, lines and goals. It was discussed that nets are not explicitly stated in the rules and therefore not necessarily mandatory.

Karl also inquired on behalf of the Danville players, if inter-league play with Pinole was acceptable. Sabrina indicated that DASL’s insurance does not cover this.

San Ramon, Bill Gillfilan

Bill had nothing to report.

Walnut Creek, Linda Zoccoli

There were some issues with one game; a referee did not show, the players accepted the offer of a sub referee from other team. The referee appeared to be legitimate, however, did not officiate very well. Due to the fact that the ref was ok’d, there was nothing that could be done.

Walnut Creek needs papers signed.

Orinda, Stuart McAllister

Stuart brought up scheduling issues they are experiencing. Two dates in question, Sept 28th and Oct 19th. Stuart discussed with other city reps and solutions will be found.
